Funding Requirements

 

It is in our collective interest to serve our disadvantaged communities with transparency and honesty, but above all ensure that we restore new hope and transform childrens’ lives for the better.

Immediate Needs

  • Our primary goal is to get the institution off the ground through sourcing funders to assist with building new structures to accommodate orphans and vulnerable children from birth till the age of 12.
  • Put appropriate fencing around the sport field land gifted by the local Municipality.
  • To provide intensive healthcare to infants brought to our attention, which would also act as an education forum to assist in holistic development.
  • To recruit qualified practitioners for all children enrolled.
  • To install child friendly and educational playing equipment that would positively contribute to the children’s mental and physical development.
  • To install appropriate safety security measures that will make the institution secure and remain safe in the day and night.

Short/Medium term goals

  • To have an in-house medical clinic that would help with kid’s immunizations and health aids.
  • To develop the culture of sport that will be competitive with other public/private schools.
  • To identify the children’s talents, nurture them and adjust for them through teaching with modern technology.
  • To provide teenagers with necessary life skills and ensure that awareness campaigns covering teenage pregnancy, child abuse and drug usage are offered.
  • Reducing unemployment rate from the community by employing members of the community who have the necessary skills and to improve their skill sets by involving them in events organized for educational purposes.
  • To develop alternative fundraising channels to ensure sustainability.

Long term goals

  • To release independent, responsible, skilled young people who are developed and blessed to the community through the education and mentoring they have been empowered with.
  • When high quality orphanages are adequately staffed and children are receiving attention and love, researchers have discovered a statistically significant difference in emotional stability between the institutionalized children and similar children in foster care.
  • To be self-sufficient by being the only competitive centre that serves the needs of the community
  • To reduce the socio-conomic divide by delivering services to communities who need them most.
  • To be the influencer in developing the children’s character and reaching for hope in their dreams to be accomplished despite having a poor background.
  • Building the Centre’s name recognition within the community through a community outreach project.
  • To be the first choice centre within KwaZulu-Natal Province delivering high quality service, acting in good faith, transparent, accountable and being courteous in the needs of vulnerable groups.
  • Providing more than a basic shelter.
